I. Innocence
The color of life tastes innocent at first breath
We start living without the concept of beginning or end
Simple smiles where the eyes came alive. Life was easy before our ideas melted then solidified. When calloused clarity had no effect on colorful clouds, our friend innocence warmed the hue of colorless dreams.
II. Desire
A wooden serpent grew from my womb to the tops of my ears to whisper sweet temptations disguised as dreams. Dream is a tradition that will live before and after my time — on this Earth — that turn into obsessions when I walk the world with open eyes where misinterpreted missions lead to wrong paths — the color between purple and black. Daydreaming beneath the soothing shade of temptation's touch — captivating canvas of a sweeter life — to then wake up and realize I've lost a life free of desire.
III. In Pursuit of a Green Sky
I look up every day searching for the color green in the sky. They told me green was the color of peace and that it could not be found in the clouds. So I went on a quest to find the perfect shade that would put my soul at ease. Mama said if I ate enough greens, daisies would bloom from the roots of my hair, decorating my thoughts with silent wisdom, crowning my lips with sweet words that taste of green seasons. I look up searching for the color green in the night while dreams climb up the ladder towards the heavens of my mind, trying to return me to the roots of my being, to once again hold hands with the memory of innocence.
